VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Islamic Relief was founded in 1984 in the United Kingdom and currently works
in over 30 countries providing support to those in need regardless of race,
religion, ethnic, or political affiliations. Because of its existence in
Indonesia, Islamic Relief was able to respond in Aceh just one day after the
Tsunami struck in 2004. Since then, Islamic Relief has constructed houses,
schools, health clinics and numerous projects aimed at supporting the
recovery of over 100,000 Tsunami-affected people Aceh. Islamic Relief seeks to hire committed and experienced person for the
following position:

1 Senior Finance Officer (Banda Aceh)

To be responsible to assist for the overall management and direction of IR
finance operations, communications, budgeting, budget tracking, balance
sheet and internal control.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Assist the finance manager to maintain systems and controls to ensure
the efficiency, integrity and transparency of the field office and
sub-office operations in accordance with guidelines provided by Islamic
Relief
Head Quarters and internationally accepted accounting standards.

2. Assist the finance manager to ensure all accounting records and
supporting documentation for all financial transactions are maintained in a
systematic order and in safe and secure conditions in the field office and
sub-offices.

3. Assist the finance manager to provide Islamic Relief Head Quarters
with complete, accurate and timely financial reports, including
institutional donor reports where required for all projects implemented in
the field office, in the required formats.

4. Assist the finance manager to maintain accurate and effective
financial controls on all transactions incurred by the field office and
sub-offices as part of project implementation and other related costs.

5. Assist the finance manager to maintain effective control over cash
and bank, and ensure that cash in hand and bank reconcile with accounting
records.

6. Assist the finance manager to provide quarterly and where required
monthly financial reports to the Islamic Relief HQ Finance department on
timely manner.

7. Assist and support in ensuring that field expenditures meet Islamic
Relief and institutional donor requirements and remain within the approved
plans and budgets.

8. Assist and support in the preparation of budgets for project proposal
and annual field office budgets.

9. Assist the finance manager to establish effective and efficient work
of budgetary, accounting, reporting and internal control systems for the
field and all sub-offices.

10. Monitoring and reconcile the control accounts of the country office
and/ or sub offices.

11. Monthly salary income tax report.

12. Any other related duties requested by Finance Manager or IRI
management.

13. Willing to do frequent official travel.

. A post graduation degree in a related filed.

. Four years experience in international NGO.

. Experience in budgeting, budget tracking, internal control &
salary tax income.

. Board knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles.

Language

. Excellent written and spoken English.

IT Skills

. Experience in working on financial software system, QuickBooks is
preferable.

. Working knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel Outlook, assess & Power
Point.

General Skills

. Excellent communication skills.

. Report writing skills.

. Research skills.

Disposition

. Patient and ability to work on your own initiative as well as a
part of a team.

. Sympathetic with aims & objective of Islamic Relief.

1Finance Officer (Jakarta/Banten)

Responsible for recording and maintaining day to day financial operations
disbursements, preparation of reports and cash management.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. To assist Senior Finance Officer in different process of budgeting,
budget tracking balance and internal audit based on IRW& IRI finance manual.

2. Responsible for IRI accounts in his/her base station, record
keeping, ledger, monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports as per head
quarter & donors requirements and to submit regularly to his/her supervisor.

3. Responsible for QuickBooks data entries.

4. Responsible for banking and correspondences with bank & other
financial institutions and bank reconciliation as well.

5. Responsible for in collaborating with the programme department of
appropriate training to IRI staff (accounting& budgeting) to upgrade
knowledge and skills of IRI staff.

6. Monitor work in progress and supply agreements/ contracts and
determine level of performance compared to established standards and
timelines.

7. Review all payment requisitions of expenditure for accuracy and to
ensure that the budget is transparent& followed and matching with IR
financial manual and procedure.

8. Monitoring the control accounts of the country office and/ or sub
offices.

9. Be responsible for developing and maintain the filing system.

10. Assist in providing the forecasting of the expenditures monthly &
quarterly and in preparing the budget.

11. Attend the tender committee and assist to finalize the decision.

12. Any other related duties requested by Finance Senior Officer or IRI
management.

13. Willing to do frequent official travel.

Personal Specification

Experience/ Education:

. A post graduation degree in a related filed.

. Three years experience in international NGO.

. Experience in budgeting, budget tracking & internal control.

. Board knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles.

Language

. Excellent written and spoken English.

IT Skills

1 Finance Assistance (Calang/Banda Aceh)

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Maintain petty cash and all day to day petty cash expenditures.

2. Review and organize incoming voucher and ensure their authenticity,
accuracy and completeness.

3. Assist Finance Officer to prepare the financial report and the
forecasting.

4. Assist Finance Officer to develop and maintain office filing
system
.

5. Assist the Finance Officer to ensure that the financial manual is
pursued and executed properly at his base station.

6. Assist in providing the forecasting of the expenditures monthly &
quarterly and in preparing the budget.

7. Attend the tender committee and assist to finalize the decision.

8. Any other related duties requested by Finance Officer or IRI
management.

9. Willing to do frequent official travel.

Personal Specification

Experience/ Education:

. A post graduation degree in a related filed.

. Six months experience in international NGO.

. Experience in budgeting, budget tracking & internal control.

. Board knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles.

Language

. Good written and spoken English.

IT Skills
