UNFPA invites applications from qualified Indonesian Professionals for the following position:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under supervision and evaluation of Reproductive Health (RH) National Programme Officer, the Field Officer is expected to maintain collaborative relationship both with Government counterparts as well as with other UN agencies to: 1. Provide overall managerial and technical assistance to UNFPA, and be responsible for efficient operation and management of the programme implementation (organizing, monitoring, evaluating, reporting, and supervising) in the selected districts. 2. Coordinate with other UN agencies and NGOs working on the Reproductive Health activities by actively participating in meetings, responding to queries and reporting on behalf of UNFPA. 3. Undertake continuous advocacy to local Government, in particular with the MOH, MOWE and BKKBN to strengthen commitments on Population Development, RH and Gender issues as well as partnership with UNFPA. 4. Ensure UNFPA's active involvement in the UN joint programming. 5. Monitor project and programme implementation; conducting field visits, participating in review meetings, evaluation missions and prepare regular inputs to status and progress reports. Analyzes basic factors affecting the achievement of results, recommend corrective actions and follow up on recommendations. 6. With the assistance of UNFPA Operations unit, oversee overall financial and logistical matters of this pogramme (purchasing, custom clearance, forwarding and distribution) . 7. Review the performance and progress of the programme, identify bottlenecks and ensure necessary actions are made in a timely manner to remedy problems. 8. Complete any other tasks that will be developed into Annual and Individual Work Plan

Qualifications and Experience Required :
This person must have both the knowledge and experience working in Reproductive Health programme and or HIV AIDS. With background as follows: 1. A Master's degree in social sciences, public health, development studies, or Medical degree. 2. At least five (5) years of professional experience working on Reproductive Health programme and HIV/AIDS prevention and care programmes including project management. 3. Some background on Population Development, Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS. 4. A strong capability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written English. 5. Proficiency in current office software applications. 6. Strong personnel management experience and proven ability to work well in a cross cultural team and environment. 7. Ability to work under strict deadlines. 8. Ability to liaise and affiliate with other UN agencies, Donor, NGO, and the Government working in the area of Health / Reproductive Health
