Global Eco-Rescue Limited, a green investment company based in London,
United Kingdom, seeks a Senior Manager for Malinau Program in East
Kalimantan Province, Indonesia.
Under the supervision of the board,
the Senior Manager will responsible to:
- develop a forestry management plan and ensure its
implementation in accordance with the objective of Malinau Program
- establish and lead a forest service team that will protect
the forest from illegal activities, pests and diseases and implement
regular aerial and ground monitoring over the forest area (project
site) as well as conduct community education to ameliorate the
possibility of illegal activities
- establish collaboration with relevant stakeholders, law
enforcement and government agencies in response to any illegal
activities occurring on the project site
- support monitoring of risk and carbon that will implemented
by third contracting party
- conduct day to day management of geographical information system
- planning and implementing annual work program and ensuring
the effective use of resource to meet the current objective of the
Malinau program
- planning and establishing and controlling budgets,
preparing costings and financial forecasts
- hire a suitable team of regional managers and rangers
- establish and maintain communication and mutual
collaboration with relevant stakeholder such as Government of Malinau
Regency, community, NGOs, and private stakeholder
- report to the board, take part in board meetings.
A graduate degree in a relevant field is required. Position required a
minimum of five years of work experience in conservation and natural
resource management. Combination of non-profit and private sector
experience is desirable. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both
spoken and written. Have a good communication skill.
The Senior Manager will spend 70% of his time in Malinau Regency, East
Kalimantan Province, Indonesia and 30% in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The position is attractively compensated and allows the Senior Manager
to have a strong impact in a new business model that aims to reduce
Greenhouse Gases.
