In 2010, the Humanist Institute for Co-operation with Developing Countries (Hivos) and the Insular Southeast Asian Network on Men having Sex with Men (MSM), Transgender (TG), and HIV (ISEAN) jointly submitted a regional proposal to the Global Fund for AIDS, Malaria, and Tuberculosis (GFATM) Round 10. This grant has the main goal of reducing (a) the vulnerability and risks of MSM and TG to HIV infection and (b) the impact of HIV on their lives in Insular Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Timor Leste). It intends to address critical gaps in supporting and scaling up activities that reduce HIV/AIDS among MSMs and TGs. The project, entitled ‘Strengthening Community Systems to Reduce Vulnerability to and Impact of HIV infection on MSM and TG in Insular Southeast Asia’, was approved by GFATM and is expected to start on September, 2011. For its Regional Office based in Jakarta, Hivos is opening the following vacancy: Office Assistant/ Office Support GF10 HIV – HIVOS-ISEAN I. Supervision : Reports to Finance/Grant Manager (FGM) II. Coordination: Coordinates with other HIVOS-ISEAN office staff (Training Coordinator, Technical Advisor HIV/AIDS and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E O) On occasion, liaise with Sub Recipients (SRs) and other project stakeholders III. Main Responsibilities: 1. With the Program Director (PD) and the FGM, assist in the development or implementation of financial and administrative processes for the Global Fund project; 2. Carry out administrative and secretarial duties; 3. Assist the FGM in maintaining accounting records; 4. Ensure all office equipment and services are appropriately maintained. 5. Provide administrative support to staff and project partners in organizing regional activities; 6. Arrange logistic requirements for the office; and 7. Maintain records and inventory control of project assets. IV. Qualifications Required 1. At least a Certificate-level training in secretarial and office functions; 2. At least 2 years experience in office management or related tasks; 3. Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English; 4. Skills in time management and coordination; 5. Skills in coordinating technical and administrative matters; 6. Proficiency in computer-based programs (MSOffice) and communications (e.g. internet); and 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. |

Assess the capacity and learning needs of in-country teams and training officers; 4. Manage the development and coordination of training curricula, manuals and educational tools; 5. Coordinate with the technical advisor as well as national/regional stakeholders to identify appropriate facilitators for these training programmes, 6. Perform the role of the trainer/ training facilitator as required; 7. Liaise with and monitor Training Consultants. 8. Develop and implement quality assurance mechanisms to assess impact of training activities and systems; 9. Provide regular modifications to training curricula, manuals, etc. based on training needs and post-training assessments. IV. Qualifications Required 1. At least a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Development Studies, Organizational Development, Psychology or related fields; 2. At least 3 years experience in coordinating training activities, particularly among community-based organizations (CBOs) or stakeholders; 3. Ability to communicate well in written and spoken English; 4. Knowledge and experience in training design, development and implementation; 5. Skills in developing tools to document/ measure training outcomes measurement; 6. Skills in coordinating technical, administrative and logistical requirements of trainings, especially involving multi-country participants; 7. Proficiency in computer-based programs (MSOffice) and communications (e.g. internet); 8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and 9. Ability to travel to worksites in Southeast Asia, as required. |

HI Indonesia Country Office has opening positions in Papua for: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to provide technical assistance and support in the area of monitoring and evaluation of the FHI programs and activities including information system development and maintenance; surveillance and quality assurance/quality improvement. Minimal Requirements: relevant medical or public health degree, post graduate preferred. 3-5 years experience in a similar field preferably with experience on health information development system. Advanced knowledge and technical skills on statistical tools and database applications e.g. Microsoft Office etc. Excellent communication skills including fluent written and spoken English, and available for frequent travel to project sites within Papua. Clinical Services Officer to manage program activities, in particular, related to TB and HIV/AIDS clinical services in the province including conduct training related to TB and HIV/AIDS. Minimal Requirements: relevant medical degree, knowledge of TB and HIV/AIDS. 3-5 years experience in a similar field including work with the government health system. Excellent communication skills including fluent written and spoken English, and available for frequent travel to project sites within Papua. Behavior Change Intervention Officer to provide technical assistance and support related to behavior change interventions (BCI) strategies and implementations. Minimal Requirements: degree in relevant discipline, preferably social sciences, public health, communication. 3-5 years experience on health especially behavior change intervention component; advanced knowledge and technical skills on behavior change and communication strategies. Excellent communication skills including fluent written and spoken English, and available for frequent travel to project sites within Papua. |

SCALING UP FOR MOST-AT-RISK POPULATION II (SUM II) is a USAIDfunded program that will provide targeted assistance in organizational performance required to scale-up effective, integrated HIV/AIDS interventions that lead to substantial and measurable behavior change among Most-at Risk Populations (MARPs) in targeted locations in Indonesia. The project is managed by Training Resources Group, Inc. The organizational performance topics include accountability, administration, advocacy, finance, governance, knowledge management, leadership, management, monitoring and evaluation, networking, partnership, policy development, resource mobilization, strategic planning and transparency. SUM II will provide and monitor small grants to qualified civil society organizations to support the scale-up of integrated interventions in “hotspots” where there is a high concentration of one or more MARP and high-risk behavior is prevalent. SUM II is currently seeking qualified individuals with experience in HIV/AIDS and Local stakeholders issues for following position: POSITION TITLE : Regional Capacity Building Officer for Jayapura REPORTS TO : Regional Coordinator BASIC FUNCTION Working with provincial and district government to provide organizational and program management capacity development in particular to Civil Society Organization (CSO) that manage small grants provided by SUM 2, and to government units, Komisi Penanggulangan Aids - Provincial and District (KPA), and stakeholders. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Working in coordination with District Government in implementation of SUM Program package of support that contains organizational and program management capacity development, management of small grants, technical services for continuum of prevention to care 2. Provide extensive technical assistance to CSOs that manage small grants from SUM 2 in organizational capacity development that includes leadership and management; program planning and mobilization; community management (mobilization and participation); advocacy, facilitation and training skills; proposal development; resource allocation mobilization plan; leverage funding to local government and units, and private sectors; monitoring and evaluation, and other needs that relevant to organizational performance. |
