Save the Children is a leading, private child-focused non-governmental alliance of 29 member organizations that works in 120 countries throughout the world. Save the Children has worked in Indonesia since 1976 to promote health and nutrition, education, child protection, livelihoods, and emergency preparedness and response. The ANCP-funded 'Building Strong Foundations' project has been designed to improve the quality of early childhood education and early grade primary education in Belu NTT. The project will support facility improvement and access to learning materials at Early Childhood Education (ECE) centers, capacity building for teachers and facilitators, and community participation in ECE centers and schools. It is designed to cover 15 ECE centers and 20 schools for 3 years. The positions needed are as follow: 1. Project Coordinator ANCP (Code: PC ANCP) - based in Belu, NTT The Project Coordinator Belu NTT will be responsible for overall management and implementation of all activities in target schools in selected Belu NTT district. S/he will be responsible for the financial, programmatic implementation and monitoring of all ANCP project activities ensuring that all SC activities are implemented. Core Responsibilities: 1. Ensure ANCP activities in Belu are implemented according to ANCP detailed implementation plan including leading the technical implementation of the project in the field. 2. With input from outside technical experts, ensure high quality technical implementation of all project interventions according to global best practices, and lessons learned from SC programming in Indonesia and globally. 3. Ensure close collaboration with stakeholders in implementation of and monitoring of project activities including establishing and developing strong and effective relationships with key district government officials and non-governmental stakeholders. 4. Together with the Senior Program Officer, develop an effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting system (including documenting activities) to ensure the effectiveness of project implementation 5. Ensure the day to day management and reporting of project financial resources is in accordance with donor regulations and SCiIDN policies and procedures. 6. Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual activity, financial and monitoring reports in accordance with the ANCP M and E framework, donor requirements and SCiIND requirements. 7. Provide effective management and supervision of two staff members 8. Ensure that there is excellent communication and cooperation within the team and between all the Save the Children projects in Belu 2. Senior Project Officer ANCP (Code: SPO ANCP) - based in Belu, NTT The objective of this position is to plan, develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the 'Building Strong Foundations' for early childhood education and basic education project activities in Belu NTT. This will include ensuring the effective implementation according to the project proposal and workplan, and ensuring adherence to Save the Children best practices in education. Core Responsibilities: 1. Together with the Project Coordinator, develop an implementation strategy for the project activities with the goal of meeting the anticipated results of the project 2. Plan, organise, coordinate, facilitate, monitor and evaluate the day-to-day implementation of the activities in the project (including preparing materials, developing relationships with schools, conducting community workshops and trainings, leading child-led participatory research, strengthening school management and monitoring progress) to ensure the project meets its objectives. 3. Together with the Project Coordinator, develop an effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting system (including documenting activities) to ensure the effectiveness of project implementation 4. Develop and submit program budget plans and review implementation periodically to ensure that project expenditures are used within limits and guidelines approved by the Project Coordinator 5. Develop the capacity of teachers, principals, school committees, and other key stakeholders (local government officers) to implement the project activities 6. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at the local level (including school supervisors, principals, teachers, and community leaders) 7. Develop progress reports periodically (including drafting donor reports, security report) for submission to the Project Coordinator in order to ensure the provision of accurate, updated information 8. Ensure project activities meet Save the Children international best practices and standards Requirements on Education, Skill & Knowledge for PC & SPO post: * Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field. * For PC post: 5 years work experience with non-government organizations, at least some experience in managing education projects with 3 years experience in managing education programs with international NGOs. * For SPO post: 3 years work experience in the areas of early childhood education and basic education with 2 years experience in implementing programs with international NGOs. * Knowledge and skills in methods to promote improvements to early childhood education and early years of primary education. * Knowledge and skills to promote child friendly active, joyful, and innovative learning. * Proven skills to develop and then efficiently implement activities according to agreed upon work plan * Demonstrated ability to write high quality reports and other project documents in Bahasa and English * Proven ability to manage financial resources according to donor and organization regulations and reporting requirements * Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural team 3. Finance & Admin Officer (Code: FA ANCP) - based in Belu, NTT The post holder will support the Project Coordinator to manage the finance and administration of the project and also to assist and support finance and administration for WISE project as well in Belu area. |

Jhpiego is a global leader in the creation of innovative approaches to developing human resources for health. The Jhpiego Indonesia program is aimed to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes in Indonesia. We are currently implementing several programs in Indonesia with a variety of funding sources. In order to reach our goals, we are recruiting for several positions to be part of the Jhpiego Indonesia team. The following positions are available : · Provincial Team Leader (6 positions)- PTL Department: Global Programs Position Reports To: Deputy for Provincial Operations Positions Supervised: Several (Technical & Programmatic) Location: North Sumatra, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi Overview: The Provincial Team Leader will provide managerial oversight at the provincial and district level. He/she will lead a team of technical, programmatic, and administrative staff. He/she will work closely with the Jakarta-based Deputy for Provincial Operation, who is responsible for the overall strategic direction and oversight for provincial and district-level activities across the Jhpiego program. The Provincial Team Leader will represent the Jhpiego program amongst government and private-sector stakeholders at the provincial and district level. Responsibilities: § Overseeing all provincial and district-level activities including: o Cultivating strategic relationships and alliances with Local Health Offices, Hospitals, professional organizations and the other local non-governmental organizations and donors including private sector partnerships o Coordinate and collaborate with government officials, stakeholders, Jhpiego staff and consultants for effective implementation o Coordinating with technical team members in the design, analysis, and synthesis of interventions o In collaboration with M&E officer, establish systems for tracking progress, indicators and deliverables according to agreed work-plans and prepare program reports to ensure state, donor and headquarter reporting needs are met. § Work closely with Deputy for Provincial Operations to lead the design and implementation of all activities to ensure necessary technical input and coordination to achieve desired results § Advise provincial and district counterparts on technical issues and participate in relevant technical advisory groups with counterparts and partner institutions, while ensuring overall technical quality of Jhpiego and/or EMAS processes and products. § Troubleshoot to prevent and resolve potential problems and review outputs for quality control § Work closely with the Finance and Administration Coordinator to track program budgets and ensure that program finances are in order § Work with the technical team to identify and hire technical advisors/consultants as needed to carry out the work plan activities § Manage district-level subcontracts § Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the work of a short-term consultants in country § Facilitate trainings in conjunction with the technical staff § Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and donors in country and region § Keep Deputy for Provincial Operations informed of successes, challenges, and lessons learned. Work with Headquarters, to ensure smooth implementation of all program activities and to monitor financial and contractual obligations. Qualifications/Knowledge: § Master’s Degree in health or social sciences or a related field § A minimum of fifteen years of mid to senior level experience in designing, implementing or managing large, complex projects in developing countries § Previous experience working with USAID § Experience in maternal and newborn health and/or community interventions preferred § Familiar with the Indonesia health system, key stakeholders and relevant government policies/strategies § Resident of local area preferred (see Job Location above) Abilities/Skills: § Experience and demonstrated ability working with government health programs, counterparts and systems § Proven depth and breadth of technical and management expertise and experience § Strong ability to work and communicate within team members § Demonstrated excellence in oral and written Indonesian language; English language proficiency preferred § Ability to work independently and to exercise independent judgment § Ability to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations § Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and professionalism § Microsoft Office computer skills, proficiency in Word, Excel , Power Point and Outlook § Ability to travel within Indonesia § Willingness and flexibility to work on a wide range of tasks · Office Manager – OM Department: Finance & Administration Position Reports To: Finance & Admin. The Office Manager is reports to the Finance & Administration Director and is responsible for providing office management services to all Jhpiego Offices in country. This includes maintaining office services and supervising office staff and maintaining office records. |
