Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is currently seeking Local Specialists for an anticipated USAID-funded “Prioritizing Reform, Innovation, Opportunities for Reaching Indonesia’s Teachers, Administrators, and Students Project” (PRIORITAS). The project is tasked with providing the Government of Indonesia with technical assistance, training and related resources necessary to improve the quality of teaching in targeted teacher training institutions, in targeted in-service training organizations, and in targeted primary and junior secondary schools. The project will be based in the following provinces: Aceh, North Sumatra, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi and Papua.
 
Long or short-term assignments will involve the following areas:
 
·       Communications / advocacy / coordination
 
·       Tertiary Curriculum Development in reading, science and math
 
·       Education Finance
 
·       Monitoring & Evaluation
 
·       Teacher Training (both in-service and pre-service)
 
·       Education Governance and Management
 
·       Grants Management
 
Qualifications:
 
At least 5 years relevant experience in one of the technical areas listed above
 
Prior experience working on a donor funded project (USAID, AusAID, etc.)
 
Strong English writing and speaking skills required

JASS (Just Associates) Southeast Asia. Jakarta, Indonesia.

Description:

JASS (Just Associates), a fast-growing international women's
organisation grounded in and driven by its regional networks in
Southeast Asia, Southern Africa and Mesoamerica, is dedicated to
strengthening the voice, visibility and collective organising power of
women. We are looking for an energetic women's rights activist with at
least 5-7 years of experience working on women's rights and social
justice in the region. This is a great opportunity for a Southeast Asian
professional who is deeply committed to building activist democratic
leadership and organisational models in the region and who is interested
in coordinating a regional network of allies involved feminist popular
education and organising strategies.

The ideal candidate would combine experience with regional women's
justice alliances as well as some experience with participatory
training, popular education and grassroots organizing. We are looking
for an effective communicator and manager who can help to build the
regional network, co-coordinate a growing team, as well as engage with
donors and key institutions in the region. Experience writing in English
about women's organization and social justice issues strongly preferred.

In Southeast Asia (SEA), JASS' strategy is to strengthen and diversify
young women's activist leadership through economic and political
education and strategizing, and cross-border action in order to
strengthen women's movements. The program is driven by a regional team
comprised of 5 women based in locally-grounded organizations across the
region and supported by a small Indonesia-based staff. The Regional
Program Coordinator will report to the Regional Director in Indonesia,
working closely with JASS SEA's core team and staff, and with support
from JASS' Crossregional Coordinator in Washington, DC.

While decision-making relating to the overall JASS SEA strategy,
planning and organizational development lies with the Regional Director,
the Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director to
facilitate regional processes and communications, ensuring that
relationships and programs are on track and in line with JASS SEA'
mission and strategy.

Individual Consultant for Proposal Development will work under the direct

& opportunity, reviewing and analyzing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), preparing
plan and schedule, developing concept notes and proposals. He/she manages all
activities involved in the development and revision of proposal and also attend

Qualifications and Experiences:

social science, development studies or related field. An MBA/ MDS is a plus;

understanding and analyzing RFPs, conducting field/ need assessment, creating

have vast knowledge & experience in writing high – quality proposals under tight

CARE Indonesia in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan is currently recruiting the following position for its project:

JOB TITLE : COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER (CEM)
DEPARTMENT/PROJECT : PROJECT/ KFCP
REPORTS TO : KFCP Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:
The Community Engagement Manager will head the CARE KFCP team and KFCP Community Engagement Process. He/She should have strong experience in community, development, livelihoods development, and government laison/advising as well as strong management and facilitation skills. They will lead all village-level development planning and livelihood interventions and play an important liaison and capacity building role with district-level agencies.

The Community Engagement Manager will report directly to the KFCP Coordinator in Palangkan Raya on KFCP project implementation. He/She will work closely with the other Specialist (livelihoods, finance and governance, fires, hydrology, reforestation, and communications) in the KFCP office on the design, implementation, and advocacy of the KFCP Project. He/she will be responsible for supervising and mentoring of Project Officers and Field Officers.

The Community Engagement Manager will work with the KFCP Coordinator and CARE Program Manager to ensure continued staffing, quality, and staff development of the Community Engagement Team.

The Community Engagement Manager will spend the majority of their time in Kuala Kapuas (the seat of district government). He/She will return to Palangka Raya once a month for meetings and coordination with other CARE and KFCP staff.
