VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Islamic Relief Worldwide a British NGO, is urgently looking for suitable
individual for the following position to be based at Pulau Banyak, Aceh Singkil
- Indonesia.
ASSISTANTCONSTRUCTION ENGINEER
Reporting to the Construction Coordinator and as a member of the Singkil Team,
the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring of the Fishing Boat Landing
Site ( Jetty )or Integrated Fish Processing Centre construction work at Pulau
Banyak-Aceh Singkil .
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Incumben will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision ensuring
compliance of construction / works to the standards and quality defined in the
contract documents including, but not limited to, drawings, specifications, Bill
of Quantity (BoQ),
Ø Incumben shall be responsible for all elements of construction including
architectural, structural,
Ø Ensure the timely collection of the Contractor’s Programme of Work, Quality
Assurance Plan, Inspection and Testing Programme, and Safety Management
Plan..the incumben is to ensure they are available on-site
Ø Reject work within her/his competency which does not conform to the Contract
Documents by issuing written Site Instructions to the contractor signed and
dated by both the incumben and contractor.
Ø Write Requests for Clarification (RFC) when changes to the design or BoQ may
be required based on site observations
Ø Collect Work Method Statements from the Contractor in advance of each Hold
Point, relating to the construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or
procedures
Ø Maintain daily log and submitting weekly report to Construction Coordinator
including results of activities and tests, deficiencies observed, actions taken
and corrective action of contractor, written instructions given to the
contractor, any developments that might lead to a change order or finding of
fact, and a simple progress diagram.
