Job Description	Position: Indonesia – Field Officer Location: Indonesia (based in Jakarta) Job Type: 12 months (include 3 months of probation and possibility of renewing) About the Grameen Technology Center and the Application Laboratory The Grameen Technology Center, an initiative of the Grameen Foundation, focuses on technology that makes microfinance operations more efficient, creates income-generating opportunities for the rural poor and provides rural communities access to information and knowledge. Our efforts support the Grameen Foundation’s mission to empower the world’s poorest people to lift themselves out of poverty with dignity through access to financial services and information. Building upon over five years of experience developing networks of Village Phone Operators, GTC created an “Application Laboratory” (AppLab) in Uganda to guide the development of value-added data services and related business models and to test, strengthen, and scale mobile applications and services that contribute to poverty alleviation. AppLab has been working with partners on-the-ground in Uganda since September 2007 to develop agricultural, health, and other applications for widely available mobile phones, conduct market trials, and pilot mobile information services. In Indonesia, the AppLab team has just kicked off their operations, building on a growing network of Village Phone Operators, who will serve as a test bed for the first two applications currently under development. Job Description · Conduct market research, interviews, and product research for mobile phone applications in the District of Tangerang & Bekasi · Research, monitor, and report on customer acceptance and use of mobile applications in the target areas of Tangerang & Bekasi Relationships The Field Officer will report to the Indonesia Applab Operation Manager based in Jakarta.

Qualifications	Ideal Candidate Female for Tangerang Area Male for Bekasi Area Skills and Qualifications needed • University education in fields of social sciences, economics, or marketing • 2-5 years of prior work experience. Preference for experience in market research, social science surveys, or community development. Technology experiences a plus. • Excellent report writing skills and good ability to do analysis. Writing samples will be requested. • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. • Fluency in oral and written English Excellence in managing field operations in a rapid cycle time product development environment • Excellent communications skills • Excellent analytic skills Enthusiasm and passion for our work in Indonesia • Enthusiasm for learning from different cultures – eager to build cultural realities into products and project plans • Equally comfortable presenting to a room of business executives and discussing needs with villagers sitting on the dirt floor of a rural home • Passionate about the work of Grameen Foundation & role of technology in poverty alleviation

Compensation	3.500.000/month gross
