Malteser International is the worldwide relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta for hu-manitarian aid. With its headquarters in Cologne (Germany) and it’s more than 800 local and 100 international staff on the spot, the organisation covers around 200 humanitarian projects in about 40 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. Our main focus lies in the sector of health, water/sanitation as well as Disaster Response and Preparedness. In Indonesia Malteser International is currently running partner programmes in Lhokseumawe, Aceh and Nias, North-Sumatra and is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced person to fill the position of a: 

Project Managerfor a Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR) Project 

Location: Manokwari, West-Papua 

Main responsibilities / Duties  

-       Plan and coordinate in close cooperation with the implementing partner the effective and timely implementation of all project activities according to objectives and indicators and to ensure compliance with Malteser International and Donor policies and quality standards

-       Monitor project quality and impact

-       Provide technical and managerial support to all team members of implementing partner to fulfill their tasks

-       Ensure timely submission of internal and external reports to donors, local government authorities and the Malteser International HQ as well as amendments in collaboration with the implementing partner

-       Supervise the administration, finance and logistic project team to ensure appropriate record keeping and adherence to Malteser International and Donor financial and logistical guidelines and regulations

-       Liaison between Malteser International HQ and local partner

-       Representation of the project and Malteser International towards local communities, government authorities, (I)NGOs and the donor.

-       Contribute to project planning and development of the running as well as of new projects, incl. regional donor contacts.
